Dorsey-Spitz should make the
Pueblo Sports Hall Of Fame. We are proud of her accomplishments.
Dorsey-Spitz finished a distant second to Vanatta at last year's state cross country meet, and the scenario played out again on Saturday at this year's state meet.
Vanatta simply ran away from the pack en route to her second consecutive state cross country title, clocking a time of 18 minutes, 14.95 seconds. Dorsey-Spitz was second at 19:27.09, followed by Alamosa's Lindsey Sowards at 19:37.8. Pueblo West freshman Anna Marshall finished ninth at 20:14.9.
