The Colorado State University System Board of Governors unanimously approved Tuesday to reinstate football, wrestling and women’s track and field at CSU-Pueblo, according to a CSU-Pueblo release.
Five sports, including football, were dropped from the University of Southern Colorado, which later joined the CSU system and changed its name, in the spring of 1985.
Men’s and women’s track and field programs were eliminated in 1993 and wrestling was cut in 2001.
