Maroon Pride plans tailgate party to thank fansALAMOSA — Jerry Green, Alamosa High School Athletics Director, has announced that tickets for Saturday’s Class 3A State Championship football game between the Alamosa Mean Moose and Pueblo County Hornets, to be played at Alamosa’s Al Bennett Field, are now on sale at the Alamosa High School Activities Office and the Alamosa School District Office during regular school hours this week.The ticket prices are set by the Colorado High School Activities Association and are $6 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults. The admission gate will open at 11:30 a.m. Saturday and tickets will also be available for sale at the main gate at that time. Only CHSAA passes will be accepted. Kick-off time is 1 p.m.Advance tickets also are on sale at Pueblo County High School. A crowd of anywhere from 1,800 to 2,400 people is expected for the game.

Because Al Bennett Field has a capacity of somewhere around 1,400 to 1,800, additional bleachers are being brought in from the Alamosa baseball diamonds, the City of Alamosa Parks & Recreation sports facilities, and Adams State College.“We are going to keep on selling tickets,” Green said. “
