Softball diamond is Melissa Lujan's best friend.

At just 5-foot-4 with crystal blue eyes, Melissa Lujan hardly looks like a catcher.
But there is no other place the Pueblo County High School senior would rather be than playing in the dirt behind the batter's box on any softball field in America.
"That's where all the action is," she said. "My knees are torn up. My hands are small and rough. But I love softball, and I love to catch."
