Pueblo West freshman runs to victory

One of the meet's biggest surprises was produced by a local runner. Pueblo West High School freshman Anna Marshall won the Class 4A girls race, making a strong move in the final 300 meters to hold off Centennial's Lauren Dorsey-Spitz, a runner-up at last year's state meet, and win the race. Marshall posted a time of 19 minutes, 43.32 seconds, just ahead of Dorsey-Spitz, who clocked a 19:50.67. young lady.
